Traditions[]

SPOILERS for Crown Lake ahead

Heather Masterson is a tradition at Crown Lake. Heather is an imaginary person at crown lake, created for an initiation ceremony of sorts. When a new girl comes to CLA, she is drawn into the initiation by a "journal" left behind in her room by an old resident. Heather Masterson is voiced by Lilia Buckingham.

Tattle Wall[]

The tattle wall is a wall in the basement of the CLA girl's dorms. The girls write gossip and other information on it with red marker. It has been an important part in the plot of Crown Lake many times, and is shown in the intro sequence of each episode.

Boys' Treasure Hunt[]

The Crown Lake Boys' Treasure Hunt is an annual scavenger hunt tradition. The boys search for items around campus. The "Girl's Rule" is a long standing rule that exists between students. If a girl joins the winning scavenger hunt team, she must kiss everyone on the team, but not necessarily on the lips[1]. This causes most of the girls to avoid the treasure hunt, with the exception of Nellie Chambers, who was unaware of the rule.
